Ubisoft's E3's conference introduced South Park: The Fractured But Whole today, after a joke trailer meant to look like another generic modern shooter.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone came out to talk about the new South Park game. Picking up after The Stick of Truth leaves off, you continue to be the New Kid to South Park. The game has the kids playing superhero now, and also are fighting each other because of a disagreement.

South Park abilities

The New Kid becomes a superhero, and there's a class creation page. There's a dozen classes to chose from, and you can mix and match powers from these classes. The demo had brutalist, speedster, and blaster selectable. You also got to learn the New Kid's tragic backstory, a hilarious segment narrated by Cartman.

The combat was talked about next, with space and time now being big. The game looks more like a tactical RPG, with a grid system letting you move around. You can push enemies around into props to do extra damage, or into your other characters for combos. You also have the ability to use your farts to rearrange the turn order, giving you an advantage in combat.

South Park Franchise Plans

As an extra bonus, anyone buying South Park: The Fractured But Whole will get a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth, available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the first time. If you pre-order The Fractured But Whole you'll get The Stick of Truth right now.

Finally a trailer played, showing exactly what starts the "Civil War" that gets all the kids fighting each other. The trailer ends revealing that the PC Principal will be playing a part in the game.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole comes out December 6th on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on PC.
