Far Cry 4 Trailer

With the release of Far Cry 4 only a few days away Ubisoft has uploaded a new trailer covering the basic facets of the game. The launch trailer is just over eight minutes long and burns through a number of topics that are important to understanding the world and story of Far Cry 4.

A local radio host explains to viewers why protagonist Ajay Ghale has come to the nation of Kyrat and the recent affairs of the civil war. Players are reintroduced to the lead antagonist Pagan Min, the loyalists supporting his reign and his army that is currently suppressing the region. This trailer is the first to give a better explanation of the resistance movement aspiring to topple Min's regime and the political infighting within the leadership. The different areas of Kyrat are covered briefly and the majority of the Min's governors are highlighted. Viewers are also given some brief tips on how to effectively use weapons and vehicles to combat enemy forces.

"Hidden in the towering Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min. Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat."
The trailer has finally introduced the realm of "Shangri-La" otherwise known as the trippy world displayed in earlier videos. There are also a number of optional side quests offered to the player to explore and better understand Kyrat. Another feature that went explained until now is the ability for the player to hire mercenaries to aid in capturing enemy strongholds. The cooperative feature for a friend to join your game as Hurk, a returning character, has been outlined before but it is helpful to see that if things becoming too difficult for the player there are other options.
