Ubisoft recently ramped up their holiday line up this year at Gamescom with the announcement of several release dates to their virtual reality titles. Alongside the release of PlayStation VR this October and the recent launches of the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive, the publisher looks to capitalize on the newly founded market with what seems to be a fairly strong lineup.

FunHouse showed off Eagle Flight at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference this year with a live multiplayer demo. The developer  throws players in the shoes (or talons) of eagles soaring over Paris. In the demo the players fight against each other in a mode similar to capture the flag. However, the game will also offer a single player mode as well. Eagle Flight will be the first virtual reality game to launch from Ubisoft. The first to receive the game will be Oculus Rift owners on October 13. The game will then launch on PlayStation VR on November 8 and the HTC Vive on December 20.

The latest project that put Trekkies in a fit of excitement during E3 this year was Red Storm’s Star Trek: Bridge Crew. It is a co-operative flight simulator that somewhat resembles Guns of Icarus. Each player has a different role to operate the U.S.S Aegis in order to explore the final frontier. While the game offers single player, it seems to have a heavy emphasis as a social experience. Bridge Crew will launch simultaneously on the three previously mentioned VR platforms on November 29.

The final new Ubisoft VR title to get a release date is Werewolves Within. Red Storm Entertainment draws influence from social deduction board games like Avalon and Secret Hitler, as well as the obvious classic party game inspirations of Mafia and Werewolves. Players take the role of villagers Gallowston, a town with a rampant werewolf problem that cannot be simply resolved through pest control. Instead players must out the werewolf among them. Werewolves Within will release on the three VR displays on December 8.

Finally, players can immerse themselves with their glorified Hot Wheels tracks in Nadeo’s TrackMania Turbo.  A free patch releases November 8 to integrate the PlayStation VR headset. Ubisoft's blog announced Oculus Rift support for the game last year. However, fans are still waiting for a release date for the patch.

Ubisoft looks build their presence within the virtual reality market this fall with a handful of games that show promise.
