Tongue-in-cheek healthcare simulator Two Point Hospital will be launching a Customisation Update this week according to a news post on the game’s Steam Community page, bringing with it the ability to rename items, change staff uniforms, and more.

Two Point Hospital is a spiritual successor to Bullfrog’s Theme Hospital, a game where players would run their very own medical care facility and treat a number of silly diseases. The revived concept brings this theme into the modern era with a lot of nice new touches; our review found the game’s writing & humor particularly charming. The features are set to expand with some sweet new customization options that should add a little more variety to your staff and facilities.

Players will be able to change staff uniforms to taste. You can do this simply for stylistic choices or as a functional way to differentiate between staff and the jobs they should doing; as an example, you can have your Customer Service Assistants wearing one uniform and your Marketing Assistants wearing another. A few different types of clothing will be available right away and additional types of outerwear can be acquired through spending Kudosh.

The Customisation Update for Two Point Hospital will be coming later in the week, but you can try it out for yourself right now. Simply right click on the game’s name in Steam, go to Properties, navigate to the Betas tab, and select “twopointhospital_patch_beta” from the dropdown. Just bear in mind that any saves made during this testing period will be incompatible with the game once the update goes live.

This update comes on the heels of the addition of a copy & paste functionality, something that our review pointed out as a sorely-needed feature. This is the first big step of Two Point Studios showing their commitment towards fulfilling some of the community’s most-requested features. If you don’t yet own Two Point Hospital, you can pick it up on Steam or the Humble Store for $34.99 or your regional equivalent.
