Two Point Hospital console editions have officially been announced by Two Point Studios. PC players have been enjoying the game and its expansions for some time now, and gamers on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will soon be able to play the game on their respective systems later in 2019.

If you haven't had the pleasure of playing Two Point Hospital, it is essentially the spiritual successor to Bullfrog's Theme Hospital — and the dev team features many of the same guys, to boot. And if you haven't played Theme Hospital, well... you missed out on a classic.

Essentially, players are put in charge of a hospital in a tycoon management game. The hook is that the diseases here are a little bit out there. For example, "Lightheadedness" presents with a patient's head literally turning into a lightbulb. The cures for these hilarious diseases are just as (if not more!) weird. Players have to manage the hospital's finances, their staff, and its patients in a variety of challenging scenarios.

Now, the fine folks at Two Point Studios have announced that a Two Point Hospital console release is coming in a blog post on their website.  The console version of the game will include the base game along with the Bigfoot and Pebberly Island expansions included in the package.

Three more blog posts will be coming in the next several days that will detail more about the console edition of this lovely game:

  • Wednesday July 24th: Why Two Point Hospital on console is our best version yet – Lauren Woodroffe, Senior UI/UX Designer
  • Thursday July 25th: What’s included in the console version, and why? – Harry Puttock, Writer / Designer
  • Friday July 26th: Why we can’t wait for more people to play Two Point Hospital – Craig Laycock, Brand Director
Unfortunately, that's all we have in the way of details for now, but we're sure to hear more in the coming days! The Two Point Hospital console editions will be coming to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime later in 2019. No specific release date or price has been announced.

If you don't want to wait for the console release, you can pick up Two Point Hospital on PC at Fanatical at a price of $16.44, a 53% discount off of its normal price of $34.99. Alternatively, you can get the game at its full price via Steam or the Humble Store.
