Out There Entertainment has announced the release date for their upcoming VR title TSA Frisky. The game will release as a single-player campaign to the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality Headsets on May 17, 2018.

As the name might suggest, TSA Frisky throws players into the much-hated shoes of a TSA agent and tasks them with keeping order at the airport check-in line. You'll frisk passengers, rummage through luggage and act as the last bastion of protection from crafty drug-smugglers and domestic terrorists, also from stubborn old people trying to bring weird food into the country. It's a stressful job, something which you'll have to keep in mind as maxing out your stress gauge means instant failure. The main goal is to get all passengers through check-in and make sure all of their luggage is safe.

Remy Bustani, one of the founders of the studio behind the game, explained the choice of having players embody a TSA agent:

[The team] liked the idea of taking the dreaded security check at the airport and use VR to really exploit the fun in that, VR is a unique platform and gives us as developers the tools to take something out of real life and make something fun out of it.
TSA Frisky features an extensive upgrade system, with clear objectives and goals available to players looking to get better at the job. Each shift players will unlock new equipment to make their jobs easier but with better tech comes higher numbers of people and less time to get through them all.

There's currently a playable demo available on Steam, so be sure to try it out if you fancy a life of frisking passengers and rifling through their luggage.
