TransRoad: USA, a trucking company management game developed by Deck13 Hamburg and published by Astragon Entertainment GmbH, is now available on Steam according to a Facebook post from the developers.

Whereas Euro Truck Simulator puts you in the driver's seat, TransRoad: USA has you taking more of a top-down management role. You'll buy & sell trucks, hire & fire drivers, and generally try to keep cargo moving across the thousands of miles of road in the United States. This won't be a fire-and-forget affair, either - every truck is an investment that must be properly maintained lest it breaks down at an inopportune time. You can get an idea of what the game is like by having a look at the Clients & Contracts trailer:

The publisher also has trailers covering your headquarters & depots, marketing & reputation, and economic events & Rivals.

Players will be able to headquarter themselves in one of 37 US cities and build up a fleet of dozens of trucks that they'll have to, well, keep on truckin'. As you haul cargo across the country, you'll build up a good reputation and be able to expand into other cities, buy new trucks, and hire better drivers. You can choose to cut corners and run the risk of huge fines or play it straight and hope that doing things the right way won't run you too far into the red.

If you think TransRoad: USA sounds like a good ol' time, you can pick it up on Steam or the Humble Store for $24.99 or your regional equivalent. The game is discounted 15% to $21.24 for the first week of release.

What do you think of TransRoad: USA? Do you prefer trucking games where you actually do the driving or do you find the management side of the business more interesting? What's your favorite business management game? Let us know in the comments below!
