Creative Assembly has announced that a brand new feature, Total War Chronicles, for Total War: Attila.

The feature will allow you to upload your play history to an online database that you share with other players. You will need to log in using your Steam Account. Once connected, you can input your own commentary and see the confessions of other players. Whether from your desktop or a mobile device, you can watch your own history play out or the history of other players. This will be a companion piece for Total War Attila players. If Chronicles turns out to be successful, we will probably start seeing it in later total war games.

This is certainly a feature that many total war players, especially the more hardcore ones, can enjoy and take advantage of. Creating your own history has always been one of the draws of the Total War franchise. Now players have the option to show their alternative scenarios to the world. There is definitely room for creativity here where players can basically create their own stories mixing commentary with historical flare, where even defeats can be spun into grand tales of victory and loss. At the very least, there will be some entertainment value to be had. I can already see some of the more comedic members of the Total War community taking advantage of this.

As a Total War player myself, I am certainly look forward to what I can do once this is unleashed to the general public. Though I have not been the most receptive to Total War lately, I do want to see how this system functions alongside Attila when it is released later this month.

Total War Chronicles will be released along side Total War: Attila on February 17 and will retail for $44.99 via Amazon

So what do you think of Total War Chronicles? Does it interest you? Or are you more concerned about Attila? Sound off in the comments below.
