The Torchlight II console release date for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch has been set for the third quarter of 2019. This classic action role-playing game originally created by many of the same people behind the Diablo franchise has been around on PC for a while and now it will be making its way to modern consoles in just a few short months.

If you haven't had the chance to play Torchlight II, well, you've certainly missed out. It's a great evolution on the ARPG genre that builds on the success of the first Torchlight and continues many of the same innovations including the ability to have an adorable pet run your loot back to town, letting you stay down in the dungeons for a longer period of time. Now, you'll be able to play this game on modern consoles when it launches in Q3 2019: the Torchlight II console release date for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch is September 3, 2019.

Of course, playing an action RPG on a console is going to necessitate some changes. After all, the original game was played with a keyboard and mouse! That's why the developers behind this port busted their butts to redesign the UI in such a way that's it made much friendlier for consoles.

Just like the PC version, you'll be able to choose between male and female versions of each of the four classes, pick from a variety of adorable pets, and fish in a variety of interesting locations because why the heck not. You'll be able to pick up this game at a price of $19.99 or your regional equivalent on the Torchlight II console release date of September 3, 2019. In the meantime, check out the official console announce trailer below to see some gameplay!

Will you pick this game up on the Torchlight II console release date? Do you think they'll be able to successfully adapt an ARPG to a controller? Let us know in the comments below!
