Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands Topping UK Charts

A new week, a new GfK chart. This weekly chart summarizes the week's best sellers in the United Kingdom. Surprisingly enough, it's Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands topping off the charts for the second consecutive week in what was a relatively quiet week. Here's the top 10:

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands entered the charts in first place last week, which was kind of surprising considering the buzz around the game seemingly having died down quickly after the game's open beta. It seems that public opinion, however, is very positive so you may want to keep this one in mind if you're looking for a tactical co-op shooter set in Bolivia. The PlayStation 4 version has also been performing well in Japan, to say the least.

Minecraft clone LEGO Worlds is also performing admirably, in no small part because of its license. Everyone loves Lego, and this game allows you to build whatever your imagination can dream up. It launching at the friendly price of $29.99 no doubt contributed to its success thus far.

Rounding out the chart's top 3 is Horizon Zero Dawn. This PlayStation 4 exclusive sports an impressive open world and story set in a post-apocalyptic world where robotic dinosaurs dot the landscape. The game was reviewed very favorably and will probably continue on selling like hot cakes in the absence of another big PlayStation exclusive.

The rest of the top 10 includes familiar and expected names such as Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 17, as well as indie darling Rocket League and last year's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild fell down a couple spots, putting the game in sixth place and the Xbox One version of Minecraft managed to chart a little bit higher this week. Lastly, the open world racing game Forza Horizon 3 went from 15 to 10, which is a testament to the game's staying power if it still manages to climb up the rankings this long after release. Then again, the same can be said of Grand Theft Auto V.
