Possible Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Announcement Tease From Ubisoft

On May 1st Ubisoft dropped a free update called Operation Oracle for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands with two new missions where you work to extract a captured Skell Technology engineer. Skell being a fictional tech company in the game's universe. The game is also currently available for a free weekend on both Steam and Uplay, and available to purchase for a 70% discount.

Meanwhile, a website for Skell Technology is up and running, which hints at a possible ARG campaign, serving as a teaser for an announcement. You can see the page under Ubisoft's official website first, which says: "Join us for Skellcon, May 9, 2019, 11:30 AM PST." You can add the date to your calendar with Google, iCalendar, Outlook, or Yahoo. Under it there's a button called Employee Portal, which will redirect you to an independent website, skelltech.com, showing the company's logo and motto ("A Better Future Today") and the fields for a username and password below it. There's also unlisted YouTube video for a Skell Technology advertisement of a Civilian Drone Catalog. It was updated on December 6, 2018, but it's still connected to the current ARG campaign given the Skell Technology ties.

With E3 right around the corner, this could likely be a new game in the series, which is possible considering that Wildlands was released in March 2017, over two years ago. Since then we've also had Tom Clancy's The Division 2 released on March 15. At the end of March, Ubisoft confirmed their presence at E3 2019 (unlike Sony, who plan to skip this year), so there's bound to be something big here somewhere in the Tom Clancy family.

In related news, Ubisoft has recently announced a partnership with tech company Genba for a Silent Key Activation system that aims to take on grey market key sellers such as G2A. They were also very prominently present during Google's Stadia announcement, likely planning to hit the ground running as the technology will definitely disrupt the industry in the 2020 decade. The company is definitely ahead of the curve lately.

What do you think of this possible announcement? Are you hoping for a new Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands game or something else in the Clancy family? Let us know in the comments below!
