Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is making its way to Steam. The strategy role playing game with visual novel elements was first released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita as Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters and has since received an update to the battle system and a new version was released called Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs. The game has been available in Europe and North America since 2016 and now PQube is bringing it to Steam March 17, 2017.

The adventure game puts players in the shoes of a new transfer student to Kurenai Academy in Shinjuku. There you join a school newspaper that is revealed to actually be a ghost hunting organization. As a part of this organization it’s up to you confront Tokyo’s ghosts and banish them.

Combining visual novel style decision making and relationship building Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs immerses players in supernatural mystery solving. A strategy-role playing game combat system brings in challenging gameplay as players prepare for the battlefield and come face to face with ghosts. The combination of gameplay elements makes for an interesting adventure game that has been improved upon since its initial release.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters

This modern ghost story allows players to make their own decisions as they fight and read their way through 13 episodes of supernatural content. The strategy RPG inspired battle system combines preparation-setting traps in the battle map, before facing enemies in a fight and has been updated to include more actions, traps and helpful hints. The art style has been praised for its fluid style and more has been added to the story.

The plot of Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters has been expanded in Daybreak Special Gigs. New scenes and story elements flesh out the tale and give players more to enjoy. There’s even a new “Daybreak” scenario added to the game.
