Rhythm-action game Thumper will be coming to the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in the second quarter of 2017 as reported by Gematsu.
Thumper's gameplay is relatively straightforward. The game's camera trails behind the "beetle" as it moves along a track in the game world. You'll have to hit notes on the movement track while simultaneously wall riding or otherwise dodging obstacles and combating enemies. Levels are divided into segments with checkpoints, and players can take a single free hit between checkpoints. Sustaining damage a second time will knock players back to the previous checkpoint. Thumper had already been released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR and the Xbox One version of the game aims to maintain the same visual fidelity as that of the PC and PlayStation 4 versions, while the Nintendo Switch version of the game will have support for the Joy-Con's HD Rumble feature.
Thumper will be joining a large line of forthcoming indie titles coming to the Nintendo Switch, many of which were recently detailed in the Nindies Showcase at the end of February 2017. The game will be coming to the Xbox One and Switch in the second quarter of 2017, but if you'd like to grab it now you can pick it up on Steam or at the PlayStation Store for $19.99 or your regional equivalent.
