Developer Le Cartel and publisher Devolver Digital have announced Heave Ho, a game all about throwing your friends across a chasm. It's a physics-based couch multiplayer game and it'll be released for Nintendo Switch and PC this summer.

The goal of Heave Ho is simple: don't fall. Players must grab each other's hands and swing each other across the ravine, taking care not to plummet to their doom along the way. Heave Ho will support up to four players, and while there's no word yet on whether the game will have an online mode, the studios do describe it as a "local multiplayer" game, so don't hold your breath. You can check out the launch trailer for Heave Ho here:

The trailer shows off the cartoonishly wacky aesthetic of Heave Ho as well as its frenetic multiplayer. Players will be able to customize their...erm...whatever those things are in the trailer with extra accessories and accouterments. We're not sure what those will look like yet, but since this is a game from Le Cartel and Devolver Digital you can expect maximum silliness. We'll likely find out more about Heave Ho as we get closer to its launch window.

This won't be the first time Le Cartel and Devolver Digital have worked together. The two studios previously collaborated on Mother Russia Bleeds, an old-school Double Dragon-style beat-'em-up with a characteristic zany sense of humor. You can check out TechRaptor's review of Mother Russia Bleeds right here (spoilers: we rather liked it). If the studios' previous project is anything to go on then this game will definitely be one to watch. The game will be out this summer for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. Heave Ho doesn't have an official Steam page yet, so if you're looking to add it to your wishlist, you might need to wait just a little longer, but if you're at PAX East this weekend you can play it at Booth #18096.
