Sierra Adventure Games GOG Reveal Header

Sierra game fans now have three more classic titles to play on GOG.com.

Yesterday the online distributor released three classic games made by the now defunct Sierra Entertainment, two of which were classic point and click adventure games designed by Jeff Tunnell, the creator of Willy Beamish and Betrayal at Krondor.

The two Tunnell games are Rise of the Dragon and Heart of China, both now DRM-free and available for the cost of $5.99. Rise of the Dragon is a neo-noir adventure game with a Cyberpunk setting, originally released in 1990. It would pioneer a brand new art style for Sierra at the time, featuring branching paths for the storyline, tons of puzzles, and over 85 different scenes each complete with a new soundtrack.

Seems like someone just tried to sneak through the wrong door.

Heart of China takes on a more pulp adventure approach, described as an interactive comic-strip come alive with a 1930's China setting. The artwork and strong characters make up most of the experience, but the games easy-to-use point and click interface makes it more accessible to newcomers to the adventure game genre. Heart of China was once named one of the best Computer Games ever made in 1991 (along with Rise of the Dragon) in the first issue of PC Format Magazine.

The third title released is an old school strategy game released in 1995, Conqueror A.D 1086. Set in the height of the Middle Ages, Conqueror is a mix of a strategy and simulation, where you start the game as a child and slowly grow up to be among the strongest of knights in England. The game also sports several major features, such as a first-person perspective when fighting in combat, 3-D graphics, tactical warfare and much more. Like the other two games, Conqueror is also priced at $5.99 and is, of course, DRM-free.
