Three new titles from Sekai Project were revealed at the animation convention, Animation on Display, in Santa Clara, CA over Valentine’s weekend. The convention celebrated anime, video-games, music and cartoons and Sekai Project joined in by revealing their new projects and holding a special guest signing opportunity with up-and-coming Japanese artists p19, rityu, and kio nachi. The three new titles showcased by the company include Sakura Dungeon, Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish Upon a Shooting Star- and Karakara.
Sakura Dungeon is a first person dungeon crawling RPG from developer Winged Cloud. Play as an ancient fox spirit who is awakened by a knight. She finds her dungeon has been taken over by intruders and she’s lost her powers, so she teams up with the knight to set things right. Players will embark on a journey of discovery as they find treasure, secrets and monsters.
A unique mechanic to Sakura Dungeon is called “capture”. Capture allows players to add monster girls they encounter to their party. The game also boasts extensive dialogue and lovely artwork to experience.
Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish Upon a Shooting Star- is a romantic visual novel developed by Favorite. Featuring branching plot-lines, deep narrative, and gorgeous cut-scenes players will be able to choose the path they want to explore in this emotional story. There are multiple endings that reflect the choices made along the way.
The story of Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish Upon a Shooting Star- follows Kogasaka You and his younger sister, Chinami. After their mother dies they move to their hometown to live with their Aunt. This means leaving behind an old friend whom you’ve promised to marry on a childish whim. When you return to your hometown years later you begin a new life and make new friends. You also meet a mysterious scythe-wielding girl who reminds you of your childhood friend. In this game there will be mysteries to solve, romance to discover and plenty of choices to make.
Calme and Sekai Project are trying something new with an Indiegogo flexible funding game called Karakara. This intriguing title explores the everyday life of humans eking out an existence in a dystopian world. Their world is changed when they discover a pink haired girl in a suitcase left near the diner where they work.
Those who would like to support Karakara can do so on the Indiegogo campaign page. The game is expected to launch in English on June 27, 2016 on Steam and Denpasoft. More details on these upcoming titles from Sekai Project will be available in the next few months.
