The wonderfully unique Biomutant will be coming in multiple editions. The game's publisher THQ Nordic announced that the upcoming action RPG will also have an Atomic Edition and a Collector's Edition.

Currently listed at $109.99, the Collector's Edition of Biomutant will package the base game in a premium box, including the game's soundtrack, a piece of art, and a hero figure.

The Atomic Edition of Biomutant contains even more goodies. Besides the base game, it will have not only the soundtrack, artwork, and the premium box, but also a steelbook, a mousepad, a T-shirt, and a highly detailed diorama. It's currently priced at $399.99 to go along with that extra content.

The diorama in the Atomic Edition seems to be based on a Biomutant trailer.

Although the Atomic Edition generally offers more, it will not have the hero figure contained in the Collector's Edition.

These bonus editions are now available for pre-order at the Biomutant website, along with the normal edition of the game.  The anthropomorphic action RPG is aiming for a 2019 release on the PS4, Xbox One, and Steam.

Though it will be published by THQ Nordic, Biomutant is the brainchild of Swedish developer Experiment 101, a new game studio largely founded by ex-team members of Avalanche Studios. Biomutant is an ambitious first project for Experiment 101, a game planning to plunge players into a world of mutant animals with possibilities for character customization, branching storylines, and recruitable companions.

The hero figure seems exclusive to the Collector's Edition.

According to PC Gamer, Biomutant has showcased different dialogue options in conversations, but their full consequences on gameplay haven't been seen yet. Still, this seems to be part of the promise for branching story routes.

PC Gamer also reported that so far all dialogue and other scenarios in the game are voiced by a single narrator, making the action RPG feel like a fairytale being told. Given that Biomutant's animal cast could have ties with other animal-centric stories like some fairytales, Aesop's fables, and animal fantasy books such as Watership Down, framing the game as an oral story shared by a narrator is fitting. (It could also refer to narrators of animal documentaries.)

People attending Gamescom in Germany this month will be able to try Biomutant at the THQ Nordic booth. THQ Nordic will also showcase SpongeBob SquarePants: BFBB - Rehydrated, Destroy All Humans!, Darksiders Genesis, Desperados III, and a new secret title.
