11-bit studios' survival game is celebrating its fourth anniversary with a new addition to its DLC catalog called This War of Mine: Stories - The Last Broadcast according to a press release from the publisher.

This War of Mine is a survival game of a different sort. Set in the midst of a war zone, you aren't a well-equipped soldier or anything like that. You instead take on the role of a party of civilians who are trying to stay alive while society falls apart all around them. Players can survive through cooperation with friendly people or they can elect to resort to theft and murder in their struggle for survival.

Since its release, a few bits of DLC have come out. The Stories Season Pass is set to contain a trio of individual stories set within the game's universe and using the same mechanics. Father's Promise was released last year and it's soon to be joined by the second of three original works: This War of Mine: Stories - The Last Broadcast.

This War of Mine: Stories - The Last Broadcast is expected to be larger in scope than the Father's Promise. It will feature new locations in the city of Pogoren, new civilians to play as, and a new shelter to live in. There will also be new moral choices relating to telling that truth that will influence the game world.

Given the content of the above teaser trailer, I'd put my money on radio broadcasts being involved in some fashion. The narrative for this DLC was written by Meg Jayanth who is best known as the writer of the adventure game (and IGF Winner for Excellence in Narrative) 80 Days.

The Last Broadcast will be priced at $3.99 on release and the Stories season pass will be increasing in price from $4.99 to $6.99 on that same day to reflect the inclusion of new content. You can pick up This War of Mine at a 70% discount on Steam or you can grab it at its regular price at the Humble Store and GOG. (Be sure to check out our review of the base game to see what we thought!) It might not be a bad idea to snap up the This War Of Mine: Stories Season Pass on Steamthe Humble Store, or GOG before the price increase kicks in. This War of Mine: Stories - The Last Broadcast launches on November 14, 2018.
