Fans of mobile games that require you to move around a real map to complete objectives may be aware of The Walking Dead: Our World. The ARG/first person shooter hybrid requires you to travel the world to save people and kill zombies, while teaming up with the cast of The Walking Dead TV show. Fans of the show now have something more to look forward to, as new missions will be introduced with the show's ninth season.
Starting on October 8th, new missions will be added to the game after each episode of the show. The missions will be based on the events in the show, and completing them will guarantee that you'll unlock character cards. You can use these cards to have characters from the TV show back you up in battle, gunning down zombies right next to you. New missions will be added every Monday, and they'll last until the next mission is added.
In addition to the new missions, Next Games is working on a web series called Life after The Walking Dead. Starring Michael Cudlitz and Josh McDermitt, the series will take a more humorous look into the franchise. New episodes will premier along with the new missions.
For those that have not played it, The Walking Dead: Our World is a free to play mobile game where you need to wander the world and fight zombies. Similar to smash hit Pokemon Go, you move by physically walking around in the real world. When you see zombies you can fight them, turning the game into a first person shooter where you have to gun the zombies down before they reach you. Along the way you also save survivors, collect new weapons and allies, and build structures to assist you.
