The Binding of Isaac is going to be getting a prequel. Titled The Legend of Bum-bo, it will be coming to Steam in just a few short weeks with a The Legend of Bum-bo release date for iOS and Nintendo Switch to be announced later.

If you haven't heard of The Binding of Isaac, you've probably been living in a shack out in the woods. This roguelite game beautifully takes the gameplay of classics like The Legend of Zelda and adds in a whole bunch of random items and enemies, making for some pretty challenging (and entertaining) gameplay. Now, this game is going to be followed up with a prequel called The Legend of Bum-bo.

The Legend of Bum-bo has Bum-bo's only coin stolen by some kind of nefarious creature. Billed as a "puzzle deckbuilding roguelike", Bum-bo transitions from real-time gameplay to a turn-base system. There will be over a hundred unique items for players to employ as they fight with one of four playable characters against more than 10 bosses and 30 different kinds of enemy.

The Legend of Bum-bo Release Date — Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS

Steam players will be able to get their hands on The Legend of Bum-bo when it launches on November 12, 2019, according to developer Edmund McMillen's Twitter. While the developer also announced that it will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and iOS at a later point, Mr. McMillen didn't specify when exactly we would be able to play it on those platforms.

No price for this game has been announced just yet, but you can add it to your wishlist on Steam for now. Check out The Legend of Bum-bo Release Date Trailer below to see this upcoming game in motion!
