The 2017 Game Awards didn't waste any time by going for a brand new world premiere, starting off with World War Z.

The world premiere trailer showed only a smidgen of gameplay, but was mostly giving off post-apocalyptic vignettes of a world in decay. World War Z is also following in the footsteps of the movie of the same name; just a unstoppable wave of zombies swiftly shambling towards the remaining surviving humans. The end of the trailer had a bit of gunplay to it too, as some survivors try to close a massive metal doorway as the horde rushes towards them.

The game is being developed by New Jersey developer Saber Interactive, known for Quake Champions and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. No release date was given at the end of the trailer.
