One of the best values on Steam is finally coming to Nintendo's hybrid handheld console: the Terraria Nintendo Switch version has been announced. Not only will the game be released physically and digitally, but it will also be arriving on the eShop sooner than you think — it goes on sale on June 27, 2019!

A post from Re-Logic's community manager on the game's official forums states that Terraria will be launching on the Nintendo eShop on June 27, 2019. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be equivalent to Version 1.3.0.7. While the game is currently working towards its final major update called Journey's End, the ultimate update for the game won't be making its way to the console versions for a while as it takes some time to make the ports happen.

Aside from the digital release of the Terraria Nintendo Switch version, a physical release will also be coming in the near future. Understandably, Re-Logic can't announce the launch of a physical product two days before its street date; you're going to have a bit of a wait if you're hoping to get your hands on a physical cartridge for the game.

Lastly (but not least), the developers are hosting daily events for prizes on the game's official Discord at discordapp.com/invite/Terraria. Do make sure to pop over there and see if you can score some free goodies!

The Terraria Nintendo Switch version will be launching on June 27, 2019. No price for the digital or physical version has been announced. If you don't yet already own the game on the PC, you'll be happy to hear that you can get it at a 50% discount as part of the Steam Summer Sale right now.

What do you think of the Terraria Nintendo Switch version? Are you going to pick up the game on this platform or do you prefer to play it on PC or another console? Let us know in the comments below!
