Another day, another localization announcement for a Hyperdimension Neptunia spin-off. Today Idea Factory International has announced that they're bringing their Hyperdimension Neptunia x SEGA Hard Girls collaboration game to the west. Superdimension Neptunia vs. SEGA Hard Girls places the company's self-insert Neptunia character IF at the helm, after Neptunia gets turned into a motorcycle, leaving her to go on her own RPG quest to both turn her back and to prevent the history of the world from being rewritten as books from The Grand Library disappear. As the game's title suggests, this time around the Neptunia goddesses are joined by SEGA's own Hard Girls - personifications of past SEGA consoles, similar in concept to the better-known characters from Neptunia. For more info on them, Idea Factory International has this to say about the Hard Girls from their Press Release

"A collaboration project between ASCII Media Wroks' Dengeki Bunko and SEGA, the Sega Hard Girls are made up of various Sega consoles, including the Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, and Mega Drive! These antropomorphized consoles are girls with an array of personalities and spunk, and this time they are teaming up with Neptune and IF for an all-new adventure!"

...on a less related note, if you played through last year's Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, you've probably already been acquainted with at least one of the Hard Girls.

As for the game itself; Superdimension Neptunia vs. SEGA Hard Girls is an RPG much like the regular Hyperdimension Neptunia titles, though with a few differences; the inclusion of a class system and a few new abilities are one, though arguably more noticeable is the expanded overworld that require IF to "jump, dash, climb, crawl [...] and even destroy objects to clear the path ahead!" while collecting items or special rewards.

Superdimension Neptunia vs. SEGA Hard Girls is coming west to both North America and Europe this fall on Playstation Vita and Playstation TV. Both regions will see the game released in both physical and digital formats. For screenshots and some more information, Idea Factory International has prepared a website for the title here. This will be the 3rd Hyperdimension Neptunia game to release in the west in 2016; will you be picking it up?
