Gaijinworks detailed some of their plans for their release of Summon Night 6: Lost Borders earlier today on the PlayStation.Blog. The game will be releasing in February 2017 for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, with a limited "The Wonderful Edition" release on PlayStation 4, exclusively available at Gaijinworks website. This particular Limited Edition will retail at $129 for anyone that orders before September 15 and $150 after that. Sales for this edition will continue until October 31st.

"The Wonderful Edition" includes a variety of standard Limited Edition goodies, such as a 32-track soundtrack CD, a massive 200+ page hardcover artbook, and a poster. Also, each copy of "The Wonderful Edition" will come with a set of four drink coasters emblazoned with the games' 3 main characters and the title's logo. The one final inclusion for the special edition is 1 of 3 plushies made in the shape of the games' sidekicks. Once again, "The Wonderful Edition" is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 release of the game - that being said, in the comments section of the PlayStation.Blog article, Victor Ireland explained that if enough fan outcry comes out, they might consider a PlayStation Vita release of the Limited Edition as well. Both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita will receive standard physical releases, regardless.

Some other information revealed in today's blog post are the fact that title will receive an English dub only, and that physical copies of the game will feature a manual. Ireland also went over some of the games' new mechanics and features, such as fully 3D environments and a new "Summon Burst" attack, that "unleashes crazy devastation on enemies". When the Strategy RPG releases early next year, it'll also support cross-save between both platforms.

Quick Take

I didn't play Gaijinworks' release of Summon Night 5, but it looks like Victor Ireland is going all out with Summon Night 6 in a very Working Designs fashion. Although it's a little disappointing that the game won't include the original Japanese audio - there simply wasn't enough time for the programmers to add in a dual-audio option, going by the replies in the original article's comments - Summon Night 6 looks like an interesting title.
