The Subnautica: Below Zero Spy Pengling Update it here and it brings with it an adorable robot along with a host of other features. Below Zero is the expandalone sequel to 2018's Subnautica and it has you exploring another section of the same mysterious planet from the first game. Now, you're able to build a few new things, one of which is a Spy Pengling robot.

As noted in a news post on the game's Steam Community page, the Spy Pengling is a miniature robot that's perfect for reconnaissance and gathering items without putting yourself at risk. Heck, you can even kidnap other baby penglings with it!

Several other new items have made their way into the game. These include the Seatruck Teleportation Module which is paired with the Precursor Tether and allows you to quickly return to your mini-submarine at a moment's notice. The game's UI grid has also gotten an overhaul.

There's more than just a few new things to build, mind — two brand new biomes have been added to the game. The first is the Vent Garden which is exactly what it says on the tin: an underwater garden filled with thermal vents. The other is the Tree Spires, an underwater section filled with towering spires of coral. Keep an eye out for the Lily Padder, a new creature with the ability to mesmerize you!

You can see some of these new features in action in the Subnautica: Below Zero Spy Pengling update trailer below. If you don't already own Subnautica: Below Zero, you can get it on Steam for $19.99 or your regional equivalent. You can also get it on the Epic Games Store for $9.99 as part of the Epic Mega Sale.
