Mistfly Games and Blowfish Studios’ pulse-pounding space shooter Subdivision Infinity DX is coming to consoles and PC in August.
Subdivision Infinity DX casts players as Sgt. Jed Riddle. Accompanied by his faithful drone AV-2 and the crew of the Subdivision Infinity, Riddle must get to the bottom of a murky tale involving mercenaries and a mysterious element called Element-122. This element is so important that the mercs are willing to kill for it, so Riddle takes his ship and his drone on an epic journey to discover the truth. Mistfly and Blowfish say they’ve rebuilt Subdivision Infinity DX from the ground up in Unreal Engine 4. The game boasts over 40 missions, each of which features fast-paced combat with a range of heavily-armored foes and challenging bosses. Between missions, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your ship and mine asteroids for rare materials. There is a wide range of parts and configurations available, so you’re bound to find something you’re into.
Blowfish Studios founder Ben Lee says the game will offer “something for everyone”. You’ll be able to min-max your ship, battle epic enemies, or just take in the scenery. Lee says the company is honored to bring Blowfish’s game to more gaming platforms. Subdivision Infinity has been available on mobile devices for some time, but it’ll mark the first time the game has been playable on major consoles and PC. We’re big fans of space shooters here, so we’re looking forward to getting our hands on this one.
Subdivision Infinity DX will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on August 8th. The game will cost $14.99 on all platforms. If you want to wishlist it on consoles, you’ll have to wait a little longer, unfortunately.
