After two and a half years in Early Access, Streets of Rogue is getting a full release. The game will hit PC and consoles on July 12th.

Streets of Rogue's creator Matt Dabrowski describes the game as "like Nuclear Throne meets Deus Ex". It's a roguelike that takes place in a procedurally-generated city. You can choose from over 20 different character archetypes including a soldier, a doctor, and a bartender (and, of course, a gorilla). Dabrowski says the game has turned out "1000x better" than it would have if he hadn't opted for Early Access. You can check out the launch trailer for Streets of Rogue below:

In Streets of Rogue, you'll need to complete a number of specific mission goals tailored to your character. Each character archetype has access to different skills. The soldier, for example, is a combat-oriented class, while the doctor is more geared towards stealth. Streets of Rogue's immersive sim elements mean you can play the game however you wish. There are plenty of items to collect, missions to complete, and advanced AI characters to outsmart. Naturally, you can play the game online or locally with friends, too. Raising your very own gorilla army just doesn't feel the same without your buddies around.

Matt Dabrowski says the full version of Streets of Rogue will feature "a bunch of new achievements and mutators". He's also planning to support the game post-release with regular content updates. Streets of Rogue will launch for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on July 12th. You can pre-order the game on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch right now (no PS4 pre-orders, unfortunately). It's also currently available on Steam via Early Access. If you prefer to wait for the full release, simply add the game to your wish list.
