Rebellion’s Strange Brigade comes out this Tuesday, but the studio is already planning for tons of post-launch content for the title for players to tackle. In an all-new trailer, we see some of the new work in progress, including four new characters, new costumes, and brand new levels to explore and fight the undead in.

The big news coming from the trailer is the game will have monthly free content along with a season pass. The video implies the season pass will contain a brand new, three-part campaign that will take the brigade to new exotic locales such as the Isle of the Dead, the Sunken Kingdom and the Pyramid of Bes. Along with this is a quartet of new adventurers, each with their own unique look and feel to them that plays on the stereotypes of a 1930s pulp adventure serial. New outfits, magical abilities, and weapons will also be included in the DLC.

While it was not revealed what the free monthly content would be, it was announced in the game’s official launch trailer that a brand new adventurer, Winston Bey, will be available for free to anyone who pre-ordered or purchases the game within 30 days of its launch. Bey is described as a ‘gentleman explorer’ who has worked as a journalist, spy and world traveler, who joins the Brigade because he finds it to be an amusing distraction. He also comes equipped with a unique magical ability, which Rebellion remains tight-lipped about at this time.

Bey is only available for free for a limited time, so it is possible that Rebellion will cycle through free characters, costumes weapons and even gameplay modes for the free post-launch content. That is all speculation at this time.

Strange Brigade is an online co-op multiplayer shooter where players fit the role of an intrepid explorer tasked with dealing with paranormal monsters around the world. Invoking the 1930s pulp adventure setting, the brigade must avoid deadly traps, fight hordes of enemies, and use their wits to solve puzzles to collect relics and battle the forces of evil. The game will launch with a full main campaign, a horde mode, and a score attack mode.

Strange Brigade launches this Tuesday, August 28th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
