This week's State of the Game will be covering all the games released on Steam between the 26th of May to the 4th of June this year. Taking a look at the top level stats we can see that whilst the number of games and average players was up significantly this week the rest of the stats were down by comparison. Compared to the average over time however these numbers are quite respectable and the majority of them come from this week's top 3 releases.

Tekken 7, the latest instalment in the long running franchise and the first ever to come to PC, takes out the top spot this week. The stats for its release week are on-par with other AAA titles which is commendable given that fighting games tend to be a smaller niche on the PC. It's a trend that's starting to change however with many of the big names in this genre now including the PC in their multi-platform releases.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam comes in second place but also managed to sustain some solid numbers. The game had had quite a few closed betas followed by an open weekend, something which can go either way when the game finally launches. For Rising Storm 2: Vietnam there doesn't appear to be any adverse effects from its extended beta period.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends managed to get third place this week even though it has been available on PC for some time directly from Bethesda. When compared to other trading card games on Steam those stats are quite good, easily putting it in the top 5 of the genre. As all progress in the game is tied to your Bethesda account it will be interesting to see how its release on other platforms like iOS and Android affect its PC numbers.
