Today on State of the Game we'll be taking a look at some stats for Steam games that released between the 6th and 12th of November this year. It's another bumper crop of big releases and the top level stats most certainly reflect that. The bulk of those stats are made up by this week's top 3 so let's take a closer look at them.

Football Manager 2018, the long-running franchise from Sports Interactive and SEGA, takes out this week's top spot. The Football Manager series has always been a staple of Steam's top 20 by concurrent players and the most recent installment is no exception. Curiously its predecessor, Football Manager 2017, has been largely unaffected by the release. It's not a case of players playing both at the same time either as those who are playing the latest one haven't put in any hours in the older one and vice versa (at least for the small sample I looked at). It will be very interesting to see how long this trend continues as even the older Football Manager games still attract a few thousand people on average to this day.

Battlerite exited Early Access and went Free to Play this week and the results really could not have been better for them. Before switching to the F2P model Battlerite averaged around 2K concurrent users. Today that number is closer to 10 times that, showing that the move to F2P was the shot in the arm the game needed.

Nioh made its debut on PC as well this week and, had it debuted in any of the down weeks prior, those stats would have had it taking the crown. Most notably it's managed to avoid the typical 50% slump in players 2 weeks after its release, maintaining its opening week's stats to this day.
