The Stardew Valley Android version has been in the works for a while now. The most recent news we had on this particular mobile version was back in October 2018 when the iOS version of the game launched. ConcernedApe has finally been able to announce that the Stardew Valley Android version is coming soon and pre-registration is now open.

The Android version of this farming RPG is close enough to release that ConcernedApe and Android co-developer The Secret Police are now taking pre-registrations on Google Play. This will be the full version of Stardew Valley up to Patch 1.3 and minus the multiplayer functionality. If you already have a save game on PC, worry not—you'll be able to move over your save data to mobile devices.

A number of mobile-exclusive features have been deployed for the iOS version (and they're likely to make their way onto Android as well). Mobile players can save the game at any time, something that is kind of a necessity when you're gaming on the go. A pinch zoom function will let players get a view of their entire farm with ease. Lastly, a bunch of new control options have been added to make it a little easier to get around in the game.

ConcernedApe doesn't want console players to be left out in the cold, either. He reports in this blog post that the Xbox One multiplayer update is in quality assurance and the PlayStation 4 version is not too far behind it. Hopefully, our friends on Microsoft and Sony consoles will be able to play together with other people very soon.

You can pre-register for the game by signing up at the Stardew Valley Android page on Google Play. If you don't want to wait and you'd like to play Stardew Valley right now, you can buy it for the PC via Steamthe Humble Store, or GOG for $14.99 or your regional equivalent.  Console owners can instead get it for the Nintendo SwitchXbox One, or PlayStation 4 at their respective storefronts and mobile gamers can get it for iDevices on iTunes. You'll be able to buy it for $7.99 or your regional equivalent, the same price as the iOS version of the game.
