Star Wars Uprising Mobile

Star Wars: Uprising, a new title by Kabam in collaboration with Disney Interactive, is officially out on iOS and Android devices. With so many new toys, games, and books coming out before the release of the new movie, a role-playing game set to bridge the gap in story between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens is a great way to whet your appetite before the release of the feature film.

Star Wars: Uprising was originally announced in June of 2015 and puts you in the shoes of your very own hero in the Star Wars universe. Players have a choice to play in a style akin to that of Han Solo, Boba Fett, and more, or to create a unique hero that is all their own. The game will have the full weight of Star Wars lore behind it, and players will be able to help shape the future of the universe that we've come to know and love.

Star Wars Uprising LocationsA role-playing game wouldn't be complete without a ton of character customization, right? Star Wars: Uprising offers a number of character classes to play as, each of which with unique abilities—although with leveling up and gear, players can create something unique as well. The base classes—Bodyguard, Smuggler, Rebel Guerilla, and Enforcer—get you started in your journey, but how you mix and match your abilities is how you will be able to become the hero you want!

Star Wars Uprising CharacterWith the release of the game, a lot more details have come out in regards to what players will be able to do, such as building your own crew that you can send out on missions to collect materials or other resources that you'll need in your journey. Outside of sending out your crew, players can also complete "Opportunities" that are available as one-off's or dailies, join a Cartel, or even participate in sector battles!

Sector battles are what will be probably the biggest part of the game, because as the Star Wars: Uprising website says, "Sector Battles are game-wide events that dictate the expansion of in-game content." Essentially, depending on how sector battles play out, more locations and gear will be unlocked as the Rebels drive back the Imperials! Couple this with the ability to complete co-op missions with other players, and there is a lot of potential for the multiplayer aspects of the game.

With this Fall having a lot of Star Wars releases as we work our way towards the new movie, Star Wars: Uprising is a welcome new addition to keep us occupied until we get to see the return of some of our favorite iconic characters and heroes. If you're an RPG fan and enjoy Star Wars as well, take a look at Star Wars: Uprising!
