The Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order lightsaber design has been tweaked according to a statement from Game Director Stig Asmussen. We got a real solid look at the game at E3 2019 and the game seemed pretty cool, but hardcore Star Wars fans noted that something was amiss with the protagonist's signature weapon.

The Game Informer podcast recently had a special episode focusing on asking and answering fan questions about the latest upcoming Star Wars game. One of the questions related to the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order lightsaber design and how it was inconsistent with past depictions of the fictional weapons. Thankfully, it seems that Respawn Entertainment will be changing the designer of the lightsaber before release.

Andrew Reiner: "This comes up a lot, too. [A Youtuber] is asking, 'Will the lightsaber be brighter, more vibrant, and more energetic in appearance for the final release?' The one thing I'll say [that] people are kind of honing in on is it doesn't have, like, the white light in the middle of it. Is that by design? Is this saber just different in design or is this like a stylistic, graphical thing you guys did at [Respawn Entertainment]?"

Stig Asmussen: "I think we went to E3 without — we made a mistake on that one. Since then, we've fixed it. That was very fair feedback, fair criticism. And we've tweaked that. We've also tweaked the shape of the lightsaber blade a little bit as well, too. You can see the difference right away."

You can hear this particular question and answer for yourself by watching the special episode of the Game Informer show below; the above question is asked and answered at 10:45. You'll be able to get your hands on the new Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order lightsaber when the game launches on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 15, 2019.
