Since 2011, Star Wars Day on May 4th has been a celebration of all things Star Wars, whether the movie series, the toys, the comic books, or the video games. In anticipation for this year's Star Wars Day, the 2004 classic Star Wars: Battlefront is releasing on Steam and GOG for the first time. As in the past two years, GOG will also have their Star Wars May 4th sale to celebrate the commemorative day. So if you're looking to pick up some Star Wars classics, now is the best time. Head on over to GOG.com and pick a title or make your own little bundle.

Star Wars: Battlefront (Classic, 2004) should be at the top of the list, as it hasn't been available for a while, presumably due to issues with the license and the new spin on the franchise given by Electronic Arts. You will face many battles, from the Battle for Naboo to the Battle of Endor in a Historical Campaign mode where you can fight as a rebel for the Republic, or as an enforcer for the Empire. The game also includes a Galactic Conquest mode, where you can choose between 20 characters and 4 factions to fight on land, air, or space. You can also get the title on Steam if you prefer. The release is available with a 15% discount on both platforms. And if you haven't already, you can also get Star Wars: Battlefront II (Classic, 2005) at a 65% discount, but only on GOG. It had its online multiplayer re-released in 2017, and it improved on the original title by including new battlefronts in an enhanced single-player experience and improved online features.

There are over a dozen other Star Wars official games to choose from in the sale. Here's a quick selection of some titles that you might want to pick up.

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga is one of the few classic real-time strategy games set in the world of Star Wars, more specifically the prequels. This title also includes the Clone Campaigns expansion pack.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the critically and commercially acclaimed BioWare RPG set four thousand years before the rise of the Galactic Empire. You'll play as a Jedi Knight facing the Sith Lord Darth Malak.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is the sequel to the previous BioWare title, developed by Obsidian. It has a similar spin as the original, but more of an Obsdian-style focus on narrative.

Star Wars: Dark Forces is a classic 1990s first-person shooter where you play as Kyle Katarn, a mercenary who joins the Rebel Alliance's covert operations division.

Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is the sequel to the previous title, where you also play as Kyle Katarn, continuing his story.

This should give you plenty of opportunities to play for both sides of the Force at your whim. The GOG Star Wars May 4th sale will be available through May 9th at 10PM UTC.
