Standalone expansion SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest will launch for PC on May 28th.

Soul Harvest revolves around two new playable factions in the form of Dark Elves and Dwarves. Both races were playable in previous SpellForce games but not in the third installment. The Dark Elves are harvesting souls for an unknown purpose, while the Dwarves battle a hatemonger threatening to tear their realm apart. Each faction will have its own unique hero to compliment the player's play style. Check out the trailer for SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest below:

Fans of SpellForce 3 can look forward to plenty of new content in Soul Harvest. The standalone expansion will add a new campaign mode clocking in at around 20 hours. There will be all-new abilities and skill trees for players to tinker with, as well as a new system based on sectors and global resource management. Both races will play differently, with different play mechanics and different unit kits. Grimlore Games and THQ Nordic hope this will add replay value to SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest's campaign. There are also new flying units to utilize in battle, as well as some gameplay tweaks like an improved UI and better online matchmaking.

SpellForce 3 originally launched back in December 2017. Oddly enough, it's the third entry in the SpellForce real-time strategy series. Plot-wise, SpellForce 3 is a prequel, setting up the creation of the mages' group The Circle. Soul Harvest will be SpellForce 3's first expansion. If you don't own the base game, you can still buy and play Soul Harvest. It'll launch for PC via Steam on May 28th and will cost $24.99 at launch (that's £19.99 if you're UK-based and €24.99 if you're in Europe).
