Good news for South Park fans that have missed out on the chance to play one of the best game adaptions of the TV show. Ubisoft has announced that they will be releasing South Park: The Stick of Truth as a standalone purchase on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 13th.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a turn-based RPG released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC back in March 2014. The game was developed by Obsidian and featured a new kid coming to the town of South Park. It isn’t long before he’s drafted into the other kid’s LARPing game, having to take sides in the fight over the “Stick of Truth” that lets anyone bend the rules however they want. Along the way, there’s government conspiracies, aliens, ManBearPig, and all other nonsense that you’ve come to know and love from South Park. The game plays in a turn-based style, having you and a partner character fight various enemies across the town of South Park.

While this will be the first time the game will be available as a stand-alone purchase on this generation of consoles, it has been available on the consoles since at least 2016. During Ubisoft’s 2016 E3 conference they announced that anyone who preordered the sequel, South Park: The Fractured but Whole, would immediately be allowed to download the original game for free. A code to download The Stick of Truth was also bundled with some physical copies of The Fractured but Whole.

South Park: The Stick of Truth was originally going to be published by THQ, but THQ went bankrupt before the game could be finished. The rights were purchased by Ubisoft, who then developed the sequel in-house. Both games launched to positive critical reception and sales, and are often considered some of the best games based on the TV show.

South Park: The Stick of Truth will be available for standalone purchase on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 13th, 2018 for the price of $29.99.
