Today at Sony's E3 Conference, we were presented an official announcement that Crash Bandicoot 1,2, and 3, will be receiving remastered editions for the PlayStation 4.

In addition to the remasters, Crash Bandicoot will also be making an appearance in the upcoming Skylanders Imaginators.

This isn't the first time that Activision has partnered with consoles brands for exclusive content. In last years release of Skylanders Super Chargers, Nintendo partnered with Activision for the release of Donkey Kong and Bowser as exclusive characters.

No news as of yet for when we're expecting to see these remasters. However Skylanders Imaginators is said to launch on October 13th later this year.

Quick Take

Okay I've got to admit, this announcement caught me a little off guard. While I knew that there were rumors going around on some sort of Crash Bandicoot comeback, I still wasn't entirely sure if they were legitimate or just pointless fan speculation.

Still as a Crash Bandicoot fan, this is fantastic news and I'm definitely eager to see what new content Activision is able to produce within these upcoming remasters. While I'm not particularly eager on the release of a Skylanders figurine, I can understand the approach Activision is going for. Skylanders is a very popular series to the younger demographic, and no doubt Activision/Sony would be looking at trying get a generation of fans on board the Crash craze.

What are you thoughts about this? Are you excited for the upcoming remasters? What are your thoughts on Crash appearing in Skylanders? Do you think the new style looks okay? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
