Just before E3, when it came out that The Last Guardian had not been cancelled, people were exited to learn more of the long-awaited game. Unfortunately it was a no show at E3. Perhaps Gamescom? Nope. Maybe TGS? Again no. Despite that the game has not been shown in years, Sony are adamant that the game is still being made.

PlayStation Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, in an interview with Weekly Famitsu (translated by Kotaku) has said

Development couldn't be better."

and

We continue to work diligently on the game, so please look forward to it."

It has been 5 years since the game was first announced for the PS3 and it is unclear if the game is being ported for a release on the PS4.

This year when rumors about the game being cancelled started to circulate PlayStation Software Product Development Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America, Scott Rhode posting on his twitter.

Whether this game will ever actually come out we just can't know. Sony though, even with nothing to show are still very much trying to tell us that The Last Guardian will someday be released.
