Welcome to this week’s Shoestring Gaming, the weekly segment where we take a look around the Internet and try to find some great games for you at even better prices! This week we will be remind you all about the fantastic deals that have been going on at Steam and at GoG, as well as some other great deals from Amazon and Groupees.

Steam Summer Sale Header

First up the big sales are still continuing, and it’s well worth your time to take a look so you don’t miss out on getting something that you’ve been waiting to purchase. These big sales are the Steam Summer Sale where every 12 hours deals on single games and bundles are reset, giving you two chances a day to find something fantastic and worth a purchase. There’s more to it as the more you buy the better discounts you are able to get in the monster game. If Steam isn’t your thing, then you can also go and check out GoG, which is having their 2015 DRM-Free Summer Sale where you can get games up to 90% off as singles or in group bundles. If you want to see how the Summer Sale has gone for the past couple of days, then you can check out TechRaptor’s nifty little guide and chances are we’ll have another one up today!

Pollinate all the islands!

Pollinate all the islands!

Over at Amazon for a limited amount of time you’re able to get Grow Home for 40% off. In this simple little game your objective as a robot is to slowly make your way back to your space ship. If that sounds too easy then don’t worry; to get to your space ship you need to ride a giant plant to make it grow.

If you want to find some more indie developers to support, then we don’t want to stop you; instead we want to help you by pointing out Groupees’ Indies Unite bundle. This collection currently houses 10 indie games that span most genres of games, so if there’s a game style that you like, then you’ll probably be able to find it here. Not only that, but Groupees has said that there will be more games incoming. But, that after 5,000 copies of the bundle have been sold, they will add in another bonus for all purchasers.

What do you think of this week’s Shoestring Gaming? Are there any big deals that I’ve missed out on? What is the best deal you’ve gotten so far?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
