Welcome to Shoestring Gaming, the weekly segment where we try to help you find some great deals on games while also staying within your budget. This week we have some pretty great deals from GoG, the TechRaptor GameFanShop as well as Amazon.

Humble Nindie Bundle

The first Humble Bundle for consoles, maybe there will be more in the future?

First up is something that I didn’t mention above, but Humble Bundle has taken a stride out of the PC and Mobile department as they currently have the Humble Nindie Bundle consisting of games for the 3DS and WiiU. This is the first time that they have done a bundle for a console, so if you’re a WiiU or 3DS owner this might be something that you want to check out!

GoT Telltale

You know nothing … of what fun is in store for you!

Now on to the rest of the games! If you’re a fan of the popular book series A Song of Ice and Fire or the TV show Game of Thrones then you might be happy to hear that season one of Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is currently 40% off on GoG. Unlike other Telltale Games series, season one consist of six episodes instead of the usual five, four of which are currently available. You follow House Forrester, a house loyal to the Starks. Episode one opens on the fateful night of the Red Wedding and from there you need to play through the episodes to learn of the fate of the Forresters. You will get to visit locations such as King’s Landing, the Wall and many other well-known locations, while meeting characters from the books and show.

Borderlands 2

Take on the challenge in the ever changing open world of Pandora!

Over at the GameFanShop TechRaptor fans are able to get 61% off a steam code for Borderlands 2Borderlands 2 is a hybrid FPS, RPG where you will get to explore the planet of Pandora in search of loot and crazy monsters to fight. With characters and classes, online multiplayer and the proceduraly generated … everything, you will enjoy the constantly changing game.

Last on the list is a bit of a different from our regularly scheduled programming, but as you know, here at TechRaptor we enjoy tabletop gaming, so this deal is for the tabletop fans. Over at Amazon there is currently fantastic deals on Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition books ranging from Player Handbooks and rules all the way to campaign books. For someone who wants to try it out but doesn’t want to put as much money into D&D or for a veteran player who wants some new books, these deals might be just right for you.

What do you think of this week’s deals? Are you planning on getting any of these games or books? Are there any big deals that I have missed?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
