Welcome to Shoestring Gaming, the weekly segment where we at TechRaptor try to find some great games that you can purchase without breaking the bank. This week on Shoestring we’ve grabbed you games from Steam, GreenManGaming, Humble store and a free Steam game.

Jackbox Party Pack

Just one of the many questions you need to answer, watch out for any lies.

First up is a game from the team that brought you You Don’t Know Jack, called The Jackbox Party PackThis pack of games includes You Don’t Know Jack 2015, FibbageXL, a version of Fibbage with even more content, Drawful, Word Spud and Lie Swatter. All of these games require an internet connection to play and allow from 8 to 100 players in some games using devices such as tablets, personal computers or smartphones. Each of these games play extremely differently, but all are fun to enjoy with a group of friends around you. The Jackbox Party Pack is currently 50% off but only for a limited time.

Fight to the end in this 2D fighter that will bring back memories of lining up quarters!

Next up at GreenManGaming you can get the the PC 2D animated fighting game Skullgirls for 66% off. This game will redeem to steam if you choose to purchase it.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Before you even try to ask what a Blood Dragon is… that, that is what a Blood Dragon is!

Fans of the Far Cry franchise, the last game is for you. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is currently on sale at the Humble Store. Blood Dragon was meant to be DLC that ended up becoming a stand alone game where you play as Sergeant Rex Colt as he has to try to take on a cyborg army and shut down a powerful bioweapon. This adventure takes the game you know as Far Cry 3 and then adds all kinds of crazy 80’s references and fantastic beasts for you to hunt down.

Dead Bits

Fight zombies in this odd greenlit FPS.

Finally, there is a chance to pick up a copy of the Steam game Dead Bits for free by simply putting in your email and redeeming the code that gets sent to you. Dead Bits is a colorful cube-based first person shooter where it is your aim to take out as many Alien Zombies as you can. If you want to learn more about the game before getting it for free then you can check it out on Dead Bits.

What do you all think of this weeks selection? Are there any games you’re looking forward to getting? Are there any big deals that I have missed?

I have been playing all kinds of games for as long as I can remember with a particular interest in action adventure and platforming titles. While I am primarily an Xbox gamer I also spend a fair bit of time on the PS4 and on my PC in VR.
