TR Member Perks!

Welcome to Shoestring Gaming, TechRaptor’s weekly segment where we try to “save” you some money by enticing you to spend some—at least we try to do it at lower prices! This week we have some deals on Anno, Monster Hunter 4, and a ton of Square Enix games.

First up, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still 50% off for 29.99 at the TechRaptor GameFanShop. The Paradox Grand Strategy Collection is on sale as well for $25, with a 20% coupon that will be automatically applied. It includes Crusader Kings II, Europa Universalis IV, Hearts of Iron III, and Victoria II. There are some more great deals as well, so if you want to buy games at a lower price and support TechRaptor at the same time, check it out!

Over at TechRaptor’s Games Republic, there are a bunch of deals going on as well. A bunch of Worms games are on sale, as is The Escapists. Again, there are a lot more deals and good prices than I can list here, but go check it out if you want to spend a little less on some things and support TechRaptor at the same time.

GOG has a good deal on Anno 1701 and Anno 1503, both of which just launched on the service. Both are 40% off, so you can get Anno 1701 for $7.79, Anno 1503 for $3.59, or both for $11.38. Amid some recent Anno issues, why not return to some games earlier in the series? Both take you back to times where you attempt to manage a colony in the “New World.” They differ in what sort of opportunities for management are at your disposal. The deal ends just before midnight GMT August 20th.

monster hunter 4 ultimate sunsnug

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Standard Edition is currently 25% off over at Amazon, making it $29.99. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the latest in the Monster Hunter franchise, where, you guessed it, you play the role of a hunter looking for dangerous creatures and monsters to take down. Don’t let the simple description fool you, just take a look at our review linked to above. There is a lot more than one would initially think here.

The Playstation Store is having a Square Enix Sale. Highlights include Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on PS3 for $14.99Vagrant Story (PS1 Classic) for $2.99; FFVFFVI, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, Chrono Trigger, and Chrono Chross (all PS1 Classics) for $4.99 each. There’s plenty more there to check out as well!

Dead Island

Green Man Gaming is having a big sale on the Dead Island franchise right now. You can get the Dead Island Franchise Pack for $5.99, which includes Dead Island, Dead Island: Riptide, and two Riptide DLC, Fashion Victim and Survivor Pack. Dead Island Game of the Year Edition is $4.99, which includes the Bloodbath Arena DLC, Ryder White DLC, and “The Ripper” weapon blueprint. The Dead Island: Riptide Complete Edition is also available for $4.99. Finally, Escape Dead Island is also available for $4.99.

Green Man Gaming also has a sitewide voucher (some titles excluded) where you can get 23% off of a wide variety of games until the 14th.

GamersGate is also having a huge Deep Silver sale right now until the 16th. You can get Saints Row IV for $5, and you can get the Season Pass for $2.50. Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is $10 too. You can also get Metro 2033 Redux and Metro Last Light Redux for $6.25 each. Outside that sale, Gothic II Gold Edtion is $2.49.

On top of their usual midweek madness deal, Left 4 Dead 2 for $4.99, Steam is having a “Japanese Indie Games Festival.” Unfortunately, I have zero knowledge of any of these games, but there is a wide selection ranging from RPGs to shoot ’em ups to visual novels. The sale ends Monday 10 a.m. PDT.

System Shock 2 is also 50% off for $4.99 on Steam until the 18th.

Don’t forget the Xbox weekly deals or the current Humble Bundle either.

Any deals we missed? Any games you plan on purchasing?
