Senran Kagura Full Burst is a game that was heavily discussed for making the point that clothing is optional and that ample breast is something to be admired. Despite (or maybe thanks to) the controversy revolving around it, the game sold well enough to deserve a sequel. Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson (of which you can read TechRaptor’s review written by yours truly) has been available in PAL regions for a while and, starting today, is finally available in North America for both Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS systems.

Senran Kagura 2

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson follows the same formula of its predecessor, with several interesting additions, like the introduction of character customization or the possibility to fight in tag team both on your own switching the control of the shinobis, or with a friend in local and multiplayer co-op.

The 12 main characters (busty Shinobi students), will find themselves in dire situations again and their clothes will pay the price. Putting aside the cloth-ripping, breast bouncing features, TechRaptor described Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson as a competent 2.5D brawler with some issues but that can still be a lot of fun.

If you happen to be a player of the original Senran Kagura Full Burst, Senran Kagura 2 will detect the save game on the SD card of your 3DS and unlock Murasame, Ikaruga’s brother, as a playable character for free. For everyone else, Murasame can be purchased as DLC for $4.99. The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop for $39.99. For the collectors out there, you can also purchase the “Double D edition” physical version of the game for $49.99. The latter contains two discs containing the game’s soundtrack, for a total of 60 tracks.
