Beyond the announcement of signing Rabi-Ribi, Sekai Project decided to turn their year end stream into a reveal party at the end leaping around from topic to topic… a bit like a platforming bunny might. They didn’t provide a ton of in-depth details at this point on each so we’ll run them all down here in brief.
Steam Trading Cards Coming to Most Titles
This is pretty self explanatory, but Sekai Project made it clear they are working to bring Steam Trading Cards to most titles in the new year. They began the effort in November with several games they publish – such as The Fruit of Grisaia, which added Steam Trading Cards on November 11th. For many users this will be a welcome addition, either for collectors to have them for their favorite games, or as a chance to get a bit of money back on the title.
When Sekai Project announced earlier this year they had acquired the translation rights to this title, not many knew what it was. Given that it’s now on Steam Greenlight, and we have seen a few moments of the game and its text, as well as the trailer the title – it’s much clearer what Atom GRRRL!! is. Atom GRRRL!! is a Yuri 18+ Visual Novel inspired by Quentin Tarentino, and that means that the colorful language, violence and culture aspects you’d expect are all on display here from what was seen. Based on the first few minutes, we strongly recommend NOT doing a drinking game for each swear word, or else you’ll likely end up dead in an hour.
Additionally they revealed that the translation and work is basically complete. At this time they are doing additional quality assurance and waiting for the title to get through Steam Greenlight.
Atom GRRRL!! 2
In a rare moment, Sekai Project was able to get the lead on the Japanese market and announce the sequel to Atom GRRRL!! that is currently in the works. They are working with the developers on the title, and while there were few details, we know it involves getting transported back to the Edo period of Japan. It also tells us that Atom GRRRL!! received a solid reception in Japan to be able to get a sequel, as well as both titles translated to English.
