At San Diego Comic Con Marvel had a gaming panel. While no new games were announced, new characters are being added to most of their current games and two classics are getting another shot in the light.
They started off with Marvel: Contest of Champions, an iOS/Android free to play fighting game developed by Kabam. The announcement here was for two more characters joining the roster. First up was X-Men favorite Gambit, known for throwing powered-up cards and his staff. The second character is Loki, who has his illusions and a strange looking staff of his own. In an interview on Marvel.com, creative director Cuz Parry and game designers Justin Ostensen and Dominic O'Grady talked a bit about how they pick new characters. Ostensen also announced that Daisy Johnson (also known as Quake for comic fans, or Skye for Agent of Shield fans) will be joining the game as well. Parry noted that the game's first original character, a Captain America/Iron Man mix named Civil Warrior, has been a success among fans. Parry also mentioned that they will also be adding "a hooded figure that tends to see the flaws in others" to the game soon. Finally, O'Grady said more events related to both the X-Men and the Inhumans will be added soon.
Following that was Marvel Puzzle Quest, a free to play match-three RPG out on basically everything, getting three new characters of its own. Ant-Man's sidekick Wasp, the super voiced Black Bolt, and our other favorite web slinger Spider-Woman will all be joining the game. In an interview with producer Josh Austin they talked about Wasp's abilities. Austin also confirmed that they will using the Janet Van Dyne version of Wasp. He finally confirmed that Wasp will be playable starting July 28th, with the other two characters to follow.

The first table would be focused on super spy Black Widow and some other older Marvel women, while the second table is focused on Ms. Marvel and some of the younger ones.
After that, Marvel announced that Marvel Tsum Tsum is coming to the United States. Already out in Japan, this iOS/Android puzzle game sees characters fall in disorganized blobs while you try to draw lines to match them up. There's an interview with creative director Bill Rosemann about Marvel Tsum Tsum and how it differentiates itself from the already released Disney Tsum Tsum. The game will also feature a two-player mode where two players can team up to fight a boss together. Marvel Tsum Tsum is coming out sometime in 2016.
In the final and probably the biggest news from the event, Marvel then announced that Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 are indeed being rereleased... on Tuesday. Yep, you don't have to wait very long for that. Both games will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One bundled together or purchasable separately. Executive producer Mike Jones said that both games will be receiving performance boosts, along with slightly updated graphics and UI. He also said that the games will cost $39.99 alone, or $59.99 bundled together. Finally, when asked about a possible Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 he simply left it at "anything is possible."
