According to a post made to the Resetera’s Forum by user James_Cache, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt may be coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in September. The rumor originated from a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo in a post that can be seen below. According to the post, the message below translates to “[Breaking! Witcher 3 GOTY edition is coming to Switch in September.] According to a reliable source from distributor, Witcher 3 GOTY edition is coming to Switch in September. Chinese localization exclusive to Asia version.”
In addition, the same user also reported that several sellers on Taobao.com, a Chinese shopping site owned by retailer Alibaba, have listed the Witcher 3 for the Switch for sale, as seen in the posts below.
As of writing the possibility of a Switch release of the Witcher 3 has not been confirmed or denied in any source, we will update this post as facts emerge. It does appear unlikely that this will be a streaming version like Resident Evil 7 had, because that was restricted just to Japan while we’re seeing the leaks here featuring China and other Asian countries.
