Rumor: Fallout 4 Cinematic Trailer Outed, possibly for E3

Fallout 4 seems to currently be the worst kept secret in the gaming industry. Bethesda's main team has been working hard on something since Skyrim's release, and there have been reports of location scouting in Boston and familiar radio DJs returning to the fold. When Bethesda announced that they would be holding an E3 press conference for the first time, it was assumed that they had something big to reveal. This was when we would finally get a look at the next huge RPG from Bethesda Game Studios.

This morning, a freelancer seems to have bluntly stated that he worked on the trailer for that big reveal. On his LinkedIn page, Luis Nieves lists his latest work with Mirada Studios as the cinematic trailer for Fallout 4. For those unfamiliar, Mirada Studios was founded by Guillermo del Toro, and has done similar trailer work for Disney and Brian Singer's Mockingbird Lane, among others.

In any case, this matches with rumors from an anonymous source earlier in the week which stated that the trailer would be combined with a half hour gameplay demo during the reveal at E3. For their part, Bethesda has denied all this speculation for years now, but sometimes you have to note where the smoke is to get to the wildfire.

Even with the recent release of Wasteland 2, it seems that the buzz surrounding the next game to come out of Vault 101 hasn't dissipated in the slightest. Fallout is a world that is still relatively new to most gamers, and even those grizzled veterans on the isometric games hunger for more exploration into this unique setting. There is nothing quite like Fallout out there, and each new game tells a distinct and memorable story with its mix of intricate plotting and unique combat mechanics. It seems unlikely that gamers will be revisiting the wasteland in 2015, but at least we will most likely leave E3 this year knowing that our return trip has finally been scheduled.
