Rockstar Games has had their Social Club for some time now, focusing as a sort of separate ecosystem for PC games — even for those of us who have purchased titles like Grand Theft Auto V on other digital storefronts like Steam. Although the Rockstar Social Club has been around for a few years now, the company had not yet released its own desktop client. That has all changed today.The Rockstar Games Launcher is exactly what it says on the tin: a launcher for the various video games that have been made by Rockstar Games over the years. It's not always known if they'll take the time to support their older creations, but the inclusion of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as a free bonus shows that they're supporting most of their PC titles. To log in with it, you use your Rockstar Social Club account if you have one, or add others and it can scan your computer for other Rockstar titles.

I decided to give the Rockstar Games Launcher a spin and see what it's like. I was very suddenly greeted with flashbacks to the repeated crashes while playing Grand Theft Auto Online as it horrendously lagged my PC and froze up entirely.
