Rocket League Portal

Starting on the first of December you will be able to use Portal customization items in Rocket League. The items that are unlocked in this update are also completely free so all you need to do is keep playing to unlock them all.

In order to have these items unlocked you do need to have at least played a full game of Rocket League. At the end of a match, regardless of whether you win or lose, there is a chance that you will get an official Portal item. This puts them in the rotation with other unlockables that you might earn.

Here is a full list of all of the Portal themed items:

  • Cake (Topper)
  • Conversion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Propulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Repulsion Gel (Rocket Trail)
  • Aperture Laboratories (Antenna)
  • Cake Sticker (Antenna)
  • Companion Cube (Antenna)
  • Personality Core (Antenna)
  • PotatOS (Antenna)

On top of this crossover fans of Rocket League also have the Chaos Run paid DLC where you'll get to play in a post-apocalyptic world and then a Snow Day with a game modifier to have Rocket League turn into a game of ice hockey to look forward to on the 14th of December.

Quick Take

It's really great to see so much content coming to Rocket League. With three DLC lets coming over the space of a month I'm sure people will be having plenty of fun over the holidays, especially those who might be getting the game for the holidays. It's just another reason that I am really hoping that all the rumors come true and it comes to Xbox One before too long.

What do you think of the Portal themed items coming to Rocket League? Are you happy with all of the content coming to the game over December? What would be the next crossover that you would like to see?
