Rock Band 4

Activision's next installment of the rhythm behemoth series Rock Band recently released which songs are included in the setlist. Rock Band 4 will have a total of 60 songs, meaning there's no shortage of how players will rock their fingers off. That isn't including the 'legacy songs' available as DLC. That would bring the total amount of songs available to rock out on more than 4,000. Quite a selection to peruse through in comparison to the original 58 playable tracks in the original Rock Band

A few choice selects from the new setlist are enough to get this Expert Rock Band player to raise an eyebrow. The first that caught my eye was Dream Theater's The Miracle and the Sleeper. As a huge metal head, I only needed to see a Dream Theater that wasn't Pull Me Under (heard it about a thousand times by now) to be looking forward to playing this title.

The songs that I personally find to be both great listens but also appear to be the most challenging ones for Rock Band 4 would probably be: Ozzy Osbourne's Miracle Man, Van Halen's Panama, Soul Remnant's Dead Black (Heart of Ice), Judas Priest's Halls of Valhalla, Soundgarden's Superunknown, Duck & Cover's Knock 'Em Down, Rush's A Passage to Bangkok and Lightning Bolt's Dream Genie.

That, however, is just the tip of the iceberg. The list goes on and on with songs and genres that range from modern pop like Grouplove's Tongue Tied and Imagine Dragon's I Bet My Life; country songs like Little Big Town's Little White Church and Brad Paisley's Start a Band; and 80's classics such as The Outfield's Your Love and .38 Special's Caught Up in You

It seems Activision made a setlist that will keep those looking for challenges and difficulty pleasantly sated while also including those songs that just get people singing together as if they were in a karaoke bar and just having fun.

What do you think about the new setlist? Is there any songs you discovered you enjoyed or despised? Tell us in the comments below!
